Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Guaranive mobile application (the "App"), operated by Talgio Ltda ("Talgio", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. The Service

Guaranive is a language-learning app that teaches Guarani through short lessons, an AI-powered tutor, and pronunciation practice against native-speaker recordings. Course content is provided for educational purposes; the App does not issue a formal certification or degree unless explicitly stated.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your country, you confirm you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.

3. Your Account

• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password secure.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• Notify us immediately at the contact below if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract course content or app data at scale.
• Upload voice recordings or messages that are abusive, unlawful, or infringe someone else's rights.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or security.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your Content

When you submit a pronunciation recording or a message to the AI tutor, you grant Talgio a limited license to process, store, and transmit that content solely to provide the corresponding feature (scoring your pronunciation, or generating a tutor reply). See our Privacy Policy for how long recordings are retained. You retain ownership of what you submit.

6. Our Content

Lessons, exercises, audio, illustrations, and other course materials in the App are owned by Talgio or licensed to us, and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use while you have an account. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from course content without our permission.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

The App may offer optional premium features in the future. As of this version, no in-app purchase or subscription is processed by the App — premium features are marked "coming soon" and are not billed. If and when subscriptions launch, purchases will be processed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store under their respective terms, and we'll update this section accordingly.

8. AI Tutor Disclaimer

The AI tutor is generated by a third-party language model and may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or culturally imprecise responses. It's a learning aid, not a substitute for a qualified human teacher or a definitive language authority.

9. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services (authentication, AI, analytics, email) described in our Privacy Policy. We're not responsible for the availability or content of those third parties' own services.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in any specific learning outcome.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talgio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and request account deletion by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the App (or features of it) at our discretion, with reasonable notice where practical.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brazil, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
